Here are our holiday cottages in Solva, Pembrokeshire and nearby. Solva is a pretty village just 8 minutes drive from St Davids, and Solva cottages are much sought after. The deep ravine of the River Solva divides the village into two parts with a sheltered harbour at the mouth. It used to be the main trading centre of the bay, but is now popular for boating holidays, offering kayaking, dinghy sailing and diving. Tuition is available for a range of water sports.
Staying in a cottage in or near Solva bring you close to many contrasting beaches: some wide and sandy with surf such as Newgale Sands; some pretty bays where it’s safe to bathe. The long main street has lots of shops, restaurants and pubs and the large local community of artists provides interesting galleries. A visit to the Solva Woollen Mill is a must: be prepared to be tempted by some of the wonderful products on sale. You can sit in the cafe and have a coffee before making a decision.
