The Steps

Pre-arrival:

• nearest train station Haverfordwest or Fishguard
• 10-11 mile taxi ride to cottage
• No public transport to village
• Nearest bus stop Pen-y-Cwm 3 miles away
• Mobile phone signal poor – Orange strongest

Arrival and car parking:

• Car parking along road in front of cottage
• Access up flight of steps to front door – 6 steps, 1.50m high, handrail 
• Outside light

Inside: 

• Split staircase through small interior hall area
• Approximate 8 stairs up to living area/kitchen
• Approximate 8 stairs down to hall and bedrooms/bathrooms
• Carpeted stairs, hall and bedrooms
• Living/kitchen area mixed surface with carpet and vinyl kitchen flooring
• Bathroom vinyl tile effect floor
• Electric lighting and standard lamps
• Halogens in kitchen area
• Both bedrooms have room for the travel cot but it fits best in the bunk room
• A baby gate is provided and can be fitted at the top of the stairs
• Metal futon style bunk with ladder to climb up at one end
• Fully enclosed ceiling light in this room
• TV has remote
• Freeview has remote
• Kitchen has fitted hob with oven and grill at floor level
• Microwave on counter
• Cordless kettle, toaster, fridge with large freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine
• Fire extinguisher, fire blanket and smoke alarm
• Mira electric shower over bath
• Standard toilet and washbasin
• No support rails
• In the upstairs living area there are two windows nearly at floor level. These are double glazed and have window locks fitted to them and are rarely opened as the velux windows in the ceiling provide ventilation. However, if you have young children this could understandably be regarded as a hazard as is the fact that the living/kitchen area is accessed via the stairs (which can be made safer by fitting the baby gate that is provided.)   

Outside: 

• Garden, laid to lawn with post and rail fence (not child or dog proof)
• Garden accessed from front door of cottage, down steps, and then via grass lane area at side of cottage and through small gate in fence at back of property
• Wooden bench style picnic table and garden bench
• Plastic garden store suitable for storing beach equipment, barbecue and lawnmower
• Rotary clothes line and compost bin
