Sailboarders and surfers flock to this beach when the conditions are favourable. During low tide, you have the opportunity to take a leisurely stroll from Broad Haven to Little Haven, passing by a bay called The Settlands.
Broad Haven: An insider's guide
Convenient parking facilities and refreshment options include The Galleon Inn, The Ocean Cafe, and a well-stocked village shop. If you’re looking for another pub, The Royal can be found in the older section of the village. For a satisfying burger, visit Sand & Stone; if a furry friend accompanies you, we highly recommend Ocean Cafe, Bar And Restaurant for their doggie ice cream.
Cliffs on both ends enclose the beach, each showcasing unique features. Among them are several sea stacks, with the most impressive one being Den’s Door at the northern tip of the beach, featuring two arches at its base. You can also spot the imposing ‘whaleback’ rock, the Sleek Stone, at the beach’s northern end.
If you’re up for a scenic walk, the remarkable Pembrokeshire Coast Path offers a relatively easy route in either direction. Heading south will lead you to St Bride’s Bay via Little Haven, while heading north will take you to Newgale, passing by Druidston Haven.
