Carmarthen Cottages

Browse our list of Carmarthen holiday cottages to find your ideal holiday rental. Carmarthen (Caerfyrddin in Welsh) is the county town of Carmarthenshire in West Wales. It lies on the River Towy and claims to be the oldest town in Wales. Arthurian legend enthusiasts will be interested to know that Merlin was possibly born in a cave outside the town and you’ll find nearby Bryn Myrddin (Merlin's Hill).

The town has undergone extensive modernisation in recent years and has a smart indoor market, galleries, excellent shops and supermarkets, a golf club and a leisure centre with swimming pool amongst other facilities. Holiday cottages in Carmarthen are popular with those who like to be close to the facilities of a town but enjoy access to nearby countryside and beaches. There are great days out to be had at the National Botanic Gardens as well as Aberglasney and a visit to Laugharne will be of interest to Dylan Thomas fans.
