Gwynfryn is a pretty end-of-terrace cottage situated perfectly near the quiet village of Llansteffan, Carmarthenshire. With easy access to estuary beaches, scenic footpaths, the Wales Coast Path, and many other attractions, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Built in 1896, this traditional cottage offers plenty of character. The entrance hall is decorated in colours typical of the 1890s. The wood burner is the focal point of the living room, a welcome treat after a day at the beach in the cooler months. The spacious kitchen/diner is perfect for cooking, eating, and planning your adventures.
Gwynfryn is only a five-minute walk from Llansteffan village where you will find two pubs and a local shop. Tuck into fish and chips on one of the benches to enjoy stunning views of the beach and Ferryside across the water. A magnificent Norman castle is perched on top of the headland overlooking the Tywi Estuary.
Perfect for a leisurely stroll or more active holiday there are several scenic footpaths leading to Scott’s Bay, an all-year-round dog-friendly beach just beyond the castle, wonderful countryside walks from the village, and the magnificent Wales Coast Path.
Only eight miles from Carmarthen, Llansteffan is an excellent base with lots of interesting places to visit only a short drive away, including the National Botanic Gardens of Wales and the coastal villages and towns of Laugharne, Pendine, Amroth, Saundersfoot and Tenby.
