Penally is a quiet, unspoilt village just West of Tenby. Unlike its nearest neighbour, it manages to avoid the crowds of summer visitors, offering a peaceful option surrounded by natural beauty.

Penally Beach is really an extension of Tenby’s South Beach – you can walk along it to Tenby at low tide. It does, however, have a very different character. Sheltered from the wind by Giltar Point, it is sand and shingle backed by dunes. You can park at Penally railway station and walk across the dunes via a wheelchair-accessible path through the golf course. The beach is also accessible by bike, using the Celtic Trail which passes through Tenby.

Penally is a great place for self-catered family holidays: the peace and quiet of the small village and a lovely sandy beach to play on, but with easy access to the amenities and attractions of Tenby.

Dogs are allowed on the beach year-round. There is a shop in the village and a couple of welcoming pubs which also serve food.
