Penbryn beach is owned by the National Trust. The beach is almost a mile in length and the absence of any buildings or commercial development make it one of the most unspoilt on the Ceredigion coast.
The car park is at Llanborth farm and from here visitors can walk down the lane (about 400 yards) or through a very pretty wooded valley, known as Cwm Lladron (the Robber’s Valley), to get to the beach. There is a turning circle and dropping off point directly behind the beach for those who find it difficult to walk.
It is possible to walk along the Ceredigion Coast Path from Penbryn, north to Llangrannog, past Morfa Cove or south to the nearby village of Tresaith taking in some of the most beautiful scenery of Cardigan Bay. Traeth cove, known as ‘the secret beach’ is nearby. Seals and Dolphins can often be seen in the area and it is a bird watcher’s paradise.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach between 1st May and 30th September
