The Hideaway at Rhianfa is one of two charming little cottages in the small village of Brongest, Ceredigion.  A comfortable base for two, this is an excellent spot to relax and unwind by enjoying local walks direct from your door and the nearby Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire coast.

The pretty garden is ideal for relaxing in the sun or dining outside while chatting about the day’s adventures.  On the grounds, there is a small petting farm consisting of 13 chickens and four sheep. A local produce and pop-up walker’s woodland cafe is open during summer weekends just a stroll away from the cottage.

The Hideaway is only four miles from the historic town of Newcastle Emlyn, where you can explore shops, a range of pubs, cafes and restaurants, and a beautiful walk along the River Teifi past the castle ruins. Less than a 15-minute drive, the village of Aberporth has two lovely beaches, and there are sandy beaches to enjoy at Tresaith and Penbryn.  The village of Llangrannog has two beaches, a pub and cafes and New Quay has shops and takeaways, the perfect spot to enjoy and ice-cream on the harbour wall.  Many of the beaches are dog-friendly all year round.

Spend the day on the Wales Coast Path to discover hidden coves, breathtaking scenery, plants, and flowers. With luck, you may spot the resident bottlenose dolphins and seals bobbing in the water. Plenty of water sports and boat trips are on offer, which are always great fun.

The bustling town of Cardigan has local shops, a castle, restaurants and cafes and the Georgian town of Aberaeron is great for local crafts and places to eat.  St Dogmaels has a regular farmer’s market and cafe on the grounds of the Abbey and is close to Poppit Sands, a safe, sandy beach great for a family day out.

The Preseli Hills, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and Cambrian Mountains offer stunning landscapes, spectacular coastlines, and historic sites to discover. So, whether you want to relax and unwind or wish for a more active holiday, the cottage is ideally placed to enjoy all that West Wales has to offer.
