Ffos Las has brought back top class racing to West Wales for the first time since 1937. Situated in the heart of Carmarthenshire between the towns of Llanelli and Carmarthen, Ffos Llas is surrounded by rolling hills and countryside with a magnificent view down the Gwendraeth Valley to Carmarthen Bay.
Ffos Las has staged both National Hunt and Flat fixtures. The racing programme is of a very high quality and those who attend are guaranteed a feast of good racing. With excellent facilities for the race-goer, including ample free parking and a large stand housing plenty of bars and betting outlets, Ffos Las offers a great view of high quality racing in picturesque surroundings.
You can’t beat the spectacle and colour of seeing racehorses and jockeys close up, the bustling activity that surrounds the betting and the lively excitement of the race itself.
As with any sport the more you know about what’s going on, the more fun you’ll get out of your day.
Ffos Las Racecourse does not operate a strict dress code for general admission, but would ask all customers to wear smart, casual clothing. The dress code policy for hospitality areas is smart casual which excludes jeans, trainers and rugby or football shirts. To enjoy a day’s racing to the full may require a good deal of walking around so give particular thought to your footwear!
There is a large selection of food and drink for sale but if you would like a table at one of the restaurants it is necessary to book in advance. Please note, we do not allow race-goers to bring their own food and drink into Ffos Las.
Children under 16 (accompanied by an adult) free entry.
