Cae’r Beili is a 200-year-old detached stone barn located in a peaceful and secluded position in Cilycwm, Llandovery. The property boasts panoramic views of the Cambrian Mountains and Y Bannau Brycheniog ( Brecon Beacons) National Park.

Guests are always welcome to roam the 150 acres of fields and woodland and meet the farms sheep, and through arrangement guests are welcome to come to the lambing shed and see the newborn lambs. The area is outstanding for walkers, cyclists (bikes can be stored in the conservatory), birdwatchers, photographers, artists and country lovers. There are gentle strolls or more strenuous hikes from the door.

The area is a natural habitat for all kinds of wildlife, and it is common to see red kites, kestrels, sparrow hawks and many other birds. There are two RSPB Bird Reserves – Dinas and Gwenffrwd. There are even red squirrels in the area!

The market town of Llandovery and Llandeilo are just a short drive away with their wonderful independent shops, cafes, great pubs and restaurants. Spend a morning searching for local produce, cakes, books, furnishings, gifts and various vintage treasures, then stop for delicious coffee and cake.

The Dolaucothi Gold Mines, located in the beautiful Cothi Valley, a 20-minute drive from Llandovery, is a must-see – where you can pan for gold and have a great day out. You can spend the day hiking, walking in the Brecon Beacons, and even walking up Pen y fan – the highest peak in South Wales. Also, within a 20-minute drive, you’ll find Aberglasney Gardens and the National Botanic Gardens of Wales.
