Discover Blaenwaun
Blaenwaun is one of the five villages of Llanwinio parish, in the diocese of St. David’s. It lies 220 m above sea level, making it one of the highest villages in the West Wales peninsula. It was previously home to the smallest post office in Wales.
There are great places to visit near Blaenwaun including some great caves, nature reserves, towns, castles, villages, ruins, gardens, historic buildings, ancient sites and rivers and streams. The area around Blaenwaun boasts some of the best towns including Llandovery, and Carmarthen. LLandovery lies close to the Brecon Beacons National Park and is a gateway to the astounding beauty of the Cambrian Mountains. Carmarthen is the county town of Carmarthenshire. There is an indoor market, many galleries, excellent shops, golf club, laser tag, an indoor climbing wall, escape rooms, bowling alley, and leisure centre with swimming pool. The Show Ground on the outskirts of the town, hosts a wide range of events throughout the year.
