Woodpecker Barn is a charming cottage in the village of Newchapel, Pembrokeshire, down a farm track. The Cottage is one of four cottages set in natural rolling countryside with far-reaching views over the Teifi Valley.

Originally built in the 1800’s the cottage has been sympathetically renovated from a traditional old stone barn to a cosy, tranquil retreat. Guests can relax on the furnished patio, look over the extensive gardens and enjoy the sounds of the wildlife on their doorstep or wander around the orchard and pond.

North Pembrokeshire is a haven for walkers, bird watchers and beach lovers. The Preseli Hills are less than half an hour away and are famous for our Neolithic ancestors engaging in the seemingly impossible feat of moving blocks of Preseli Bluestone to build Stonehenge.

The market town of Cardigan is only a 15-minute drive away which boast a range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Visit Cardigan Castle, the home of the first Eisteddfod or the historic market hall.

Woodpecker Barn sleeps 4 plus an infant in 2 first floor bedrooms. 1 double and 1 twin.

Bedroom 2: two single beds, hanging space, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets with lamps and views across the valley.

DOWNSTAIRS:

Bathroom: bath with shower over, toilet, wash basin with mirror, light and shaver socket over plus heated towel rail

Living room: 3-seater sofa and a two seater sofa, TV/DVD, stable door to front patio

Dining area: table and chairs to seat 4

Kitchen: electric fan oven, hob and extractor, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, washer/dryer and iron

Outside

The patio area, with garden furniture is situated at the front of the cottage in an enclosed garden. Grounds extend to approximately one acre and include an orchard, pond and stream. Direct access to a public footpath from the garden. There is a shared games barn on site with table tennis, darts and a pool table. Parking for two cars is close to the cottage.

The driveway/track is well made of concrete and stone leading to the car park area
The car park area is approximately 11 metres from the gateway to the cottage
There is a roadway leading directly to the gateway into the cottage and is for unloading/loading purposes
Surface is slightly sloping and rolled stone and lighting is provided

Interior

A 90mm step upwards leads through the gateway 1220mm wide then a 190mm step downwards onto a level concrete pathway 1280mm wide. This leads to the front door
Lighting is provided from the front of the cottage
The entrance to the cottage is easily identified with the name of the cottage next to the front door
The entrance door is a manual stable door with top half glazed and is 1030mm wide. • There is one step up into the cottage 60mm high

The communal garden leads to a further gateway 1530mm wide leading into an enclosed dog garden.
