St Clears is a wonderful town for walkers wanting to explore more of Carmarthenshire. One of the most popular walks in St Clears follows public roads and footpaths, the 1.5-mile trail links 12 historical sites and takes you past plenty of shops and places to eat if you need to rest your legs. The surrounding countryside is mainly rolling grassland consisting of moderate-sized fields with well-kept hedges. Although most of the land is farmed commercially the area is a haven for wildlife.

The Priory Church of St Mary Magdalene is a grade II* listed building and was founded in 1100 and is considered to have the best surviving Norman stone carving in Carmarthenshire.
