See our selection below to find holiday cottages in St Clears south Wales. With a railway station and bypassed by the A40, the main trunk road linking London with Fishguard, this small town benefits from its good connections, supporting pubs, restaurants and takeaways - including a chip shop. The town has two banks and several shops including a Post Office, chemist and butcher. Self catering supplies can be bought in the town, or just to the east in Carmarthen.
As the town sits at the confluence of 3 rivers: the Afon Cynin, Afon Dewi Fawr and the Taf, which turns a corner here to alter its course from east to south, it is no surprise that the Normans built a castle here. Sadly, only the mound remains but there’s plenty of history connected with the town such as the Rebecca Riots sculpture commemorating the brave mid-19th Century uprising against the injustice of tolls.
Holiday lets in or near St Clears Carmarthenshire are well placed to give you a holiday full of variety with beautiful coast nearby at Pendine, Laugharne or Llansteffan and easy access to surrounding towns and villages.
