Here are all our holiday cottages near Newgale, Pembrokeshire. Renowned as an excellent surfin beach, it is tucked into the north side of St Bride’s Bay and benefits from being south-facing and sunny. The stretch of golden sand is almost 2 miles long and is backed by a high pebble bank which formed after a fierce storm in 1859.
There is tuition available for kitesurfing and surfing. If you’re looking for a bit more shelter, walk through the cave at the southern end to find a number of smaller bays. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs along the beach and you will have stunning views over St Bride's Bay from the cliff tops at either end. There are car parks, toilets, cafés, gift and surf shops around the beach area and lifeguards are on duty for 4 months between June and September. Newgale is a good choice for dog friendly cottages, as dogs are allowed on most of the beach all year.
Self catering cottages give you the freedom to come and go as you choose. Stock up with provisions in nearby Haverfordwest or take a meal out in one of the eateries in the area. Also very close to Newgale holiday cottages is St Davids with its grand cathedral.
