Steeped in myths and legends, high in the ancient Cambrian Mountains, the Silver Mountain Experience has tumbling streams, mysterious forests and long abandoned mine workings that will take you on a journey through the mists of time.
The site has recently been completely redeveloped into a thrilling, original and unique visitor attraction using the original buildings as a stage set for the Silver Mountain Experience.
The restored buildings of the silver mine form a unique complex dating from the 1860’s, steeped in history. The original buildings are all Grade II listed and part, near the shaft, is classified as an ancient monument.
From the mine exhibition at the start, explore this award winning site by following in the footsteps of those miners from long ago. You will really get a feel of what it was like all those years ago, deep underground in Wales’ scariest underground black chasm.
There is plenty to do for all the family, whatever the weather, including the hugely entertaining (and terrifying!) Fright Nights where legends and Welsh folklore are brought to life along with tales of monsters and ghosts that haunt the silver mountain!
