The British Bird of Prey Centre can be found within the beautiful National Botanic
Garden of Wales, Carmarthenshire. The Centre houses an impressive collection of
birds of prey that are both native to the UK and those that are visitors. From Lily, the
Little Owl to Aquarius, the White-tailed Sea Eagle you will meet a wide range of birds,
each with their own distinct personalities. You can see these birds in their aviaries
and during the daily flying displays.
During the flying displays, the experienced team of falconers will explain how the
birds are trained while you are enthralled by the birds flying over your heads and
between the seats! The birds will show off their skills and differing flying styles. This
is also an opportunity for you to learn more about the different birds and a range of
conservation programmes in Wales.
There are also daily opportunities to fly a bird yourself during our group experiences
which you can book on the day of your visit. Alternatively, you can pre-book a private
flying experience through the website.
Please check the website for timings of the day, or contact us by phone or email.
Thank you. We look forward to seeing you soon.
