The Old Stables at Rhianfa is one of two cosy little cottages in the pretty village of Brongest, less than 15 minutes from beautiful Cardigan Bay.
The cottage has rustic charm and provides comfortable accommodation in a great location, is well-presented and has everything you need for a memorable getaway. Relax on the outdoor seating in the garden area to enjoy a romantic meal for two. In the grounds, there is a small petting farm consisting of 13 chickens and four sheep. A local produce and pop-up walkers woodland cafe is open during summer weekends just a stroll away from the cottage.
It is just four miles from the historic town of Newcastle Emlyn, with independent shops and castle ruins, and only five miles from the lovely beaches at Aberporth. There are walks direct from the door, and you will find many lovely walks in the area. Pretty Cenarth Falls is only a 15-minute drive from the cottage, and the waterfalls are a well-known salmon leap.
The Old Stables is in an ideal position to explore stunning beaches, many of which are dog-friendly. The Preseli Hills and Wales Coast Path offer the chance to see thrift, campion, and heather, or take a more challenging walk along the rocky coastline to see many species of birds. If you are lucky, you may spot seals or dolphins breaking the surface.
Try your hand at a variety of thrilling water sports, enjoy a boat trip to get close to fascinating sea life, or discover some of the hidden gems and unspoilt coves along the coast.
The village of Cenarth, where the waterfalls are a well-known salmon leap, is only a 15-minute drive. Cardigan is a busy market town with a restored castle, independent shops, restaurants and cafes. Poppit Sands Beach is popular with families, and nearby St Dogmaels has a regular farmer’s market and cafe on the grounds of the Abbey. The seaside village of New Quay is the perfect place to enjoy fish and chips at the harbour, and Aberaeron, with its pastel-coloured buildings, is great for local crafts and places to eat.
Whether you want to relax and unwind or wish for a more active holiday, this property is perfectly placed for you to enjoy all that West Wales has to offer.
