The village consists of a few houses, farms and a parish church on an open hill, surrounding the village with stunning countryside. The present parish church of St Illtud dates from 1884, replacing an earlier church of 1820. Stones in the porch suggest there was a church as far back as the 13th century. St Illtyd’s Church is situated within a polygonal churchyard, which is divided by springs and streams, to the immediate west of Llantood Farm.
Llantood is 3 miles from Cardigan near Cardigan Bay. Cardigan has the perfect combination of ancient history, modern comforts, busy independent shops and restaurants, stunning countryside and the beautiful Cardigan Bay coastline within easy reach. The 12th century Cardigan castle overlooks the River Teifi.
