Special Offers

The Watch House is a stunning riverside property in the Pembrokeshire village of St Dogmaels, under 5 minutes’ drive from the beach at Poppit Sands. Originally the Customs and Excise Watch House, built around 1850, it has been refurbished and extended to provide a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom holiday home of exceptional quality.

The Watch House is a unique house, with character and history, in an exceptional location with superb views – ideal for those who like to be close to water. Decking to the rear of the house provides a space to eat, drink and relax, while enjoying the views of the river. And a garden to the side and rear of the house backs on to the tidal estuary of the River Teifi: you can fish for crabs from the back wall when the tide is in.

There is much to do and see in the local area, from the historic market town of Cardigan, to the unspoilt beaches of North Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion. St Dogmaels is a quiet, friendly village, sitting at the end of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, and the house is ideally located for those who want to explore the local area by car, on foot, or on the water. St Dogmaels has a village store, an exceptional fish and chip shop (Bowens) and three village pubs; the nearest one (the Ferry Inn) serves excellent food.
