The small village contains a 13th-century church and two closed chapels. The church, dedicated to St. Elidyr, is a very ancient structure, now nearly in ruins, and contains 200 sittings. The village of Llanteg is of a hilly character and is surrounded by tall standing trees, making it a fantastic place for walkers to discover.
A short distance from the village is the coastal village of Amroth. There is a petrified drowned forest, which reveals itself when the tide is very low. The petrified tree stumps can be seen poking through the sand and they have been dated to the last ice age. The beach is a half mile long and has rockpools located at the western end of the beach. If you are looking to explore the Welsh coast, walk along the coast path from Pendine to Amroth whilst taking in the expansive views over the coast.
