Cilgerran village is linear in nature and stretches along the south bank of The Teifi River well known for salmon and sewin, where coracle fishermen still practice the ancient trade. On the outskirts of the village is the smallest museum in Wales. An old BT red phone box that has been transformed into a museum dedicated to local photographer Tom Mathias.
From walking along the river banks, to canoeing, fishing and cycling, taking in the sights of the spectacular Cilgerran Castle. The village is also home to the Welsh Wildlife Centre, on the Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve, which is a really lovely place to walk and enjoy the Teifi marshes and all the incredible wildlife that occupies this space.
Cilgerran is one of the most spectacular castles in Wales, its two great round towers loom high above the deep gorge of the River Teifi and the fast flowing stream.
