Explore offers below and book your next holiday to West Wales.
Only 3 miles from the spectacular Cardigan Bay coast, Cottage Pie is a peacefully situated country cottage converted from an old stone barn. Furnished in a contemporary style to create a comfortable holiday home, it retains charming original features such as thick stone walls and exposed beams and has delightful views across open fields.
Cottage Pie is one of two holiday cottages near the owner’s farmhouse, set within 22 acres of land which is no longer farmed. Half the land is a valley covered in woodland with a tributary of the River Teifi, Nant Arberth, running along the bottom. You are invited to stroll along the woodland walk which meanders down through the valley and alongside Nant Arberth before looping back up to the cottages. Dogs love this walk as they get the chance to paddle in the shallow river at the bottom!
The quiet rural location allows you to take life at a slower pace and enjoy the abundance of nature just outside your door. Watch buzzards swoop overhead, red kites gliding over the fields, or maybe you’ll be lucky enough to see badgers or foxes.
Set well back from the road, and conveniently situated just over 5 minutes from the nearby town of Cardigan with its supermarkets, shops pubs, cinema/theatre and leisure centre. It’s less than 15 minutes to sandy beaches at Mwnt, Aberporth and Poppit Sands.
You can head up the coast to explore Cardigan Bay and the Ceredigion Heritage Coast with its resident dolphins and seals, or head south into Pembrokeshire to enjoy the gorgeous scenery in the National Coastal Park.
From here, it’s easy to explore all of beautiful West Wales: within an hour, you can be at Tenby, Folly Farm or Oakwood Theme Park in south Pembrokeshire, Aberystwyth in north Ceredigion or Brechfa Forest in Carmarthenshire. Or you can just relax and enjoy the peace in this secluded spot.
