The Castle
Overlooking the river is the 12th century castle, which was the site of the first Eisteddfod. It has been beautifully restored and now offers accommodation, a restaurant and cafe serving locally-sourced food, escape rooms, and event space with large events running throughout the year!

In and around the town
Cardigan’s Guildhall and Market Hall were built between 1856 and 1859 and are now home to an indoor market, regular craft sales and art exhibitions. The town has numerous independent galleries and craft shops. Arts enthusiasts will also enjoy the programme of events and concerts at RhosyGilwen, an internationally famous venue near Cilgerran, as well as events held by the exciting Small World Theatre company,  Theatre Mwldan is a vibrant theatre and cinema complex in the centre of town.

Stwdio 3 runs workshops  through the week, from printmaking to silver-carving. There’s plenty on during school holidays , much of it with a child-friendly quirky twist.

Food & Drink in Cardigan
For evening meals don’t miss out on the fun at Pizza Tipi; for more formal dining try out 1176 at Cardigan Castle, or dinner at the Albion Hotel. Check out Yr Hen Printworks for amazing small plates and cocktails .  If you’re looking for wholesome Italian food then Mannuccis is the place for you.

For after-dinner drinks, head to Number 45 for cocktails crafted from locally-made gin.

During the day, Food For Thought is always a favourite; as is Crwst (the doughnuts are as easy on the eye as they are on the tastebuds!).
