“Very easy to relax”

“We had a wonderful 4 nights at Tanybryn, the weather was glorious which made the view from the bedroom window extra special when we woke on a morning. The barn is well equipped having everything we needed for our stay. Nearby Tregaron had a restaurant and a chinese takaway if you didn't fancy cooking.
The barn is well situated and there are plenty of walks in the area, we loved the fact that the barn is secluded with made this a very special place that we would love to return to. Thanks Julie and also to the cleaner who did an amazing job.”

“There are not many words that could describe what a stunning place Tanybryn is...amazing, wow factor and sublime are a few. It surpassed our expectations and we could not or wished for anymore. We will definitely be returning. If you like privacy, seclusion, peaceful and quite this is the place to go. We filled up the seed and nut containers for the birds and sat on many occasions just watching. Tanybryn was well equipped and had everything we needed. We would sit in bed in the morning with a cup of tea / coffee looking out of the the bedroom window at the stunning view. We absolutely loved the selection of DVDs where there were a number of our favourite go too’s made even more impressive on the cinema surround sound tv system.
We would highly recommend this incredible barn to anyone.
Thank you Julie for sharing this place with us.

“Cannot express what an amazing place Tanybryn is! Everything we could have wished for and more. Definitely will be back! If you want peace and quiet but with lots of creature comforts then this is ideal. Completely private but with lots of countryside and gardens around to enjoy. Would highly recommend!”

“We had a wonderful few days at Tanybryn....... what a peaceful place to relax and unwind amongst nature. Within the first day we saw woodpeckers, all sorts of different birds including jays, bullfinch and squirrels and even a hedgehog tottering about.
The barn was beautiful, loved the decor and the photo on the wall of when it was just a derelict barn is a nice touch.
We had both rain and sunshine but it didn’t stop us getting out and about exploring Wales and the Brecon Beacons.
Thank you for letting us stay!”

“This was our first stay here but wont be our last.
A fantastic hideaway to get away from the hustle and bustle..
The photos dont do this place justice.
We went mid March and still managed to see a lot of wildlife.
The log fire and the surround sound TV set up made for lovely cozy evenings.
Would love to go back later in the year.”

“Another beautiful stay at Tanybryn. This time in the beautiful barn. Barn is very well equipped and has some stunning views from the Windows. We loved watching the birds every morning and even got a peek at the woodpecker. Total escape and relaxation . Julie is very helpful and accommodating. We will be back soon x”

“We had a lovely time in Julia's cottage. It was a bit chilly in early February but with lots of layers on we were able to keep warm. The area is very peaceful and there was plenty of wildlife. There is a fantastic heronry about 1/5 mile away and it was a joy to see the birds, including a nuthatch in the cottage garden. We also heard a woodpecker every day in the mornings not far from the cottage. The cottage is away from noise and light pollution, so it is a lovely place to enjoy peace and quiet for a while.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Ysgubor Y Tanybryn. Formerly a barn, the property has been carefully renovated with oak trusses and floorboards, and there's a spacious feeling to the full-height living room area. The kitchen is well equipped with oven, fridge, washing machine etc and there's a large dining table. The shower is large and there's a good supply of hot water--great for returning after a long walk! Julie was very helpful in planning our visit and we'd definately consider coming back again! Thanks, Geraint”

“A wonderful place to stay and relax, away from it all!
The barn is utterly beautiful and the surroundings perfect. There's nothing but greenery, sheep, squirrels and birds to be seen & heard.
And the TV, surround sound and extensive DVD library are an added bonus on wet & windy days - and it is Wales after all so there are usually a few of them!
We will definitely be back for another stay, very soon”

“We booked last minute for a relaxing quiet time and we're pleasantly surprised to find one of the best places that we have had the pleasure of staying in, exactly as the owner had described it. This is a great place to just kick back and loss touch with the humdrum of everyday life with peace and tranquility to be found both in the barn and outside, the log burner is excellent for chilly night and rainy days and gives the whole place a comfy feeling. We would recommend this lovely barn to anyone, thanks to the owners for such a great holiday retreat.
P.S The tv and sound system are brilliant and so is the dvd collection for those times when it rains well it is Wales after all lol”

“The cottage was absolutely stunning. As advertised, it was remote, which was exactly what we were looking for.

The barn has been tastefully converted, containing a lovely mezzanine floor for the bedroom. The entertainment system provided was one of the best we have experienced and came with what can only be described as a library of DVDs which made for many snug nights in!

The cottage is located in an ideal place for some beautiful walks and some well know attractions: the Corris Mine, Devil's Bridge and the lovely towns of New Quay and Aberystwyth.

All in all Ysgubor-y-Tanybryn made for the perfect quiet getaway; a big thank you to the owners who were incredibly helpful and even left us some goodies on our arrival!”

“If you like peace and solitude in the country then Tanybryn will be right up your street. Whether you're enjoying a glass of wine or barbeque on the decking, watching the birds on the table over breakfast or having a little home cinema fun - the TV and surround system are great, plus there's loads of dvd's to watch. It's well equipped and very cozy with the log burner.

The track to the barn can be a little bit of a squeeze if you have a large car so take your time.”

“Great stay, lovely quality refurb, cosy, quiet & VERY dark.
Lovely secluded location.
Only complaint would be the combination of a huge TV (with loads of DVD's), great sofa, and a log fire made it difficult to ever persuade ourselves to ever leave the barn, perfect Winter vacation.”

“We were the first guests to stay in the newly renovated Ysgubor-y-Tanybryn. What a place, secluded enough but not isolated, with lots of wildlife and peace and quiet. We stayed over the Christmas week and Julie had decorated the cottage wonderfully for Christmas and even left us a very generous hamper complete with excellent home made jam! The stove keeps it nice and cosy and we had a delivery of nice firewood at the start of the week. The cottage itself is decorated to a high standard and is perfect for a romantic break. It made our holiday and we will definitely stay again, thank you so much!”
