Y Bwthyn is a converted farm building, one of a pair of cottages forming part of an old stone and slate former farmyard. It offers dog-friendly budget accommodation in a quiet rural situation with walks from the door and fishing available nearby.

Red kites circle overhead, there are otters in the river and the entire property is surrounded by farmland, with 5 acres of the owner’s land in which to walk your dogs.

On the south facing slope of the upper Aeron Valley, Y Bwthyn overlooks the small village of Llangeitho under a mile away down the farm track. With friendly pub, thriving village shop and café, Llangeitho is about 5 miles from the small town of Tregaron.

Accommodation

Y Bwthyn sleeps a maximum of 5 in 2 bedrooms: 1 double and 1 triple bunk room.

UPSTAIRS
Bedroom 1: overlooking the enclosed garden, it has a double bed with memory foam mattress. This room is reached from the sitting room by a narrow open-tread modern spiral staircase
Bathroom 1: electric shower over the bath, WC and wash hand basin

DOWNSTAIRS
Living area: compact with 2 seater sofa and 2 arm chairs, multifuel stove which you feed with logs and coal to heat the hot water and radiators (there is also an immersion heater), TV, full Sky digital package with Sky Sports, DVD player and a hard-wired/WiFi internet connection; south and south-west facing windows, overlooking the garden and farmland with village across on the other side of the valley. Bedroom 2: triple bunk comprising a 4ft 6-inch double bed as the lower bunk and a 3 ft single bed as the upper bunk, both beds have memory foam mattresses, en suite shower room with WC and wash hand basin.

Outside

Y Bwthyn is approached from the former farmyard down several steps with a hand rail. The fully enclosed south/south west facing garden is flat with patio, picnic bench and stone built barbecue. There is a ‘dog kennel’ in a stone building in the old farmyard where you can leave your dog(s) when it’s not possible to take them with you as you cannot leave them alone in the cottage. There is level parking for several vehicles in the old farmyard and bikes can be locked up in one of the old stone and slate buildings.
