“We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Y Bwythyn, the house was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was excellent, very well equipped giving you the choice of whether to eat in or not. Some places don’t have great glasses, crockery etc but it was all fresh and looked new. Modern kitchen with more storage than I have at home!

The lounge has fabulous views and we enjoyed our evenings as a family watching tv after long days and evenings out, there’s a new Smart tv which was brilliant especially appreciated by my husband to watch the football, thank you. The bedrooms were spacious, comfortable beds etc. It was great having 2 en suites plus a toilet too. Plenty of storage for everything, there’s a great walk in room/wardrobe off the main bedroom with ironing board, drying maidens everything you could possibly need which made it a home from home. There’s a utility room off the main bedroom too in case you want to wash/ tumble dry anything which was very handy.

The well kept garden was freshly mown and completely enclosed so safe for our dog too. Lovely patio area with nice furniture where we enjoyed a few glasses of wine in the evening, a very pleasant setting.

All in all the owners have thought of everything, highly recommend. We have booked to go back later in the year. The best house we have stayed at in the UK so far. Thank you Peter and Lesley.”

“We had an amazing stay at Y Bwythyn. The space is great, the décor wonderful and modern, the kitchen-diner is large (and well stocked with kitchen items), there is plenty of storage, and all on one level. Although there are a lot of steps to the front, you can enter through the side entrance very easily if mobility is an issue. The owners Peter and Lesley couldn't do enough for us and are fabulous hosts. The location is perfect a few minutes walk to the Ferry Inn for a meal, and into the village to look at the Abbey or go to the local market on a Tuesday. Large parking space provided, and it's only 5 minutes drive to Poppit Sands or Aberteifi in the other direction. We plan to return!”

“Having stayed in over a dozen excellent holiday cottages in and around Ceredigion/Pembrokeshire, Y Bwthyn has proved to be the cleanest and most comfortable of them all. We would have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this cottage. Thank you Lesley and Peter.  ”

“We had a great week. The weather was a bit mixed. The property was excellent and we were grateful for the additional precautions around COVID. We enjoyed walks to Poppit Sands and around the headland. The Ferry Inn was fully booked but we enjoyed fish and chips from St Dogmaels. The outdoor space was great and the garden is fully enclosed for dogs.”

“The property was well appointed with all the space and facilities required for three generations of our family and two labradors. The outside hose was perfect for washing down the dogs after a day on Poppit Sands. Our granddaughter particularly enjoyed catching crabs with the other children off the nearby jetty. We are very happy to recommend this lovely holiday home.”

“We had a brilliant time at Y Bwthyn. Perfect for a family get together. 4 generations and something for everyone. We were very lucky with the weather and the patio area and garden were perfect. The walks for the dog from the house were also much appreciated. Loved it”

“Immaculate and beautiful holiday home, decorated to a very high standard. Well equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. Really peaceful location and the decking provided the perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of tea and an evening glass of wine! The Ferry Inn, just 2 mins walk, was cosy and served excellent food along with great views. Nearby Poppit Sands was stunning and perfect for the kids and dog. Easy drive to nearby towns/villages/attractions and the Pembrokeshire Coast has some outstanding scenery - spotted seals and dolphins on our travels too! Would definitely return. Thanks for providing us with the perfect base and surroundings for a memorable holiday.”

“On arrival Sarah was there to meet us and was very welcoming as was Murphy the dog. This is a real home from home accommodation and everything is decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The house was extremely clean and the towels supplied were of a good quality and a good size. Sarah and Ian have tried to think of everything and left lot of things to make life easier e.g. some dishwasher tablets, hand soap and toilet rolls, the bottle of wine and welsh cakes were an added bonus. They had even left a small supply of dog poo bags and a dog bowl. There is lots of information at the property about the local area, and plenty of books to read if you need one. 10 mins drive away is Poppit Sands (fine sand) which is a fabulous beach and dog friendly. It is a really clean beach with a pay and display car park and cafe which serves very reasonably priced food and drinks. The Ferry Inn is a short walk from the property and is very welcoming and dog friendly. They serves delicious food, but I would advise booking to avoid dissapoimtment. All in all Y Bwthyn is a very comfortable, top quality accommodation which we would highly recommend.”

“A beautiful place! Everything was there that you could want and need. It was warm and cosy (we stayed late Nov) and the beds were so comfy. It was spotlessly clean and tidy and the kitchen was especially nice to cook in (washing up looking at the views out the window). We were emailed back as soon as we booked, and Sarah met us there when we arrived. We felt so welcome and comfortable I would recommend this place 100% and hope to return someday soon. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!”

“The cottage had everything we wanted and was a great base to explore the local area. We particularly enjoyed the food at the local pubs and it was great that you could walk to both the Teifi Netpool Inn and the White Hart Inn using the path along the river. The Ferry Inn was even closer and we can highly recommend it as well. Cardigan has a good selection of shops and we can also recommend Food For Thought for lunch. The beach at Poppit Sands was great to walk our dog and there are lots of other great walks along the coast path. The beach and walks around Mwnt are worth noting and, although a bit of a drive, a trip to St Davids and walking around St Davids Head is well worth doing.”

“You must stay here. Everything about the property would ensure that your holiday would be complete. The location is ideal - views over to the river, short walk to the local pub on the river, and a mile by road to a spectacular sandy beach. Everything in the property is spotlessly clean and with three double bedrooms and three bathrooms, this makes for an easy family holiday. I have never stayed in better self catering accommodation.”
