Summary
Villa Rose is largely a single level house, located a quarter of a mile outside the seaside village of Broad Haven. It has spectacular southerly views of the sea, coast and countryside. Rooms are spacious and light, and the kitchen and living rooms are modern and particularly roomy. If, after reading this, you still have any accessibility questions, the owners will be happy to provide more information.

Transport Links
Straightforward to reach by car. The nearest train station is at Haverfordwest, 6 miles to the east. Taxis are available from the station at a cost of £20-£30 dependent on the time of day. However, for £10 each way, the owners will be happy to collect you and drop you off. A request stop bus passes the house, and services around Pembrokeshire exist throughout the year (although these are sporadic during the winter). National Express buses run as far as Haverfordwest. Broad Haven can be reached on foot in 10 minutes along the coastal path (nb: there are some steep and narrow sections), or by road (also steep in parts but easier to navigate).

Communications
The house has free wi-fi connection. Reception for mobile phones is generally reliable, but some networks tend to be better than others. We have listed some useful numbers in the house’s information booklet.

Groceries
The only supermarket in Haverfordwest which provides online shopping (and click and collect) is Tesco. Aldi, Lidl, Marks & Spencer and Morrisons supermarkets are also in Haverfordwest but do not provide a delivery service. Broad Haven contains a Londis convenience shop, Post Office plus three cafes and a pub. You’re advised to bring any specialist items with you.

Parking
The house is connected to the road by a 30 metre driveway. Drive through two stone pillars one of which says Villa Rose on it. The driveway turns 90 degrees down a slope onto a parking area that will take 3-4 cars (a further 4-5 vehicles can be parked on the upper driveway). Cars can stop directly outside the front door for unloading luggage etc. The slope from the upper driveway to the bottom parking area is a little steep. There are outside motion-sensor lights for late arrivals.

Inside the House
There is a 30 cm drop from the front door into the large covered porch, and a similarly sized step up from the patio into the living room. And there is a 10cm threshold between the large covered porch and the inner porch. Within the house, there are no further steps save for 9 steps up to the mezzanine bedroom. Most of the flooring is either smooth parquet, quarry tiles or new carpeting. Door widths are either standard or slightly wider. Five steps lead up from the large covered porch to the utility room.

The house has modern, comfortable furniture, with good lighting throughout (including recessed lighting in the living room and kitchen). The bedrooms are large enough to get in and out of bed easily. The double bedroom is particularly large and would be the best location for an additional cot. If you’re coming with a young child, we will be happy to provide a travel cot if you do not have one, but please bring your own bedding. The TVs are modern and provide Freeview. The kitchen is modern and newly installed. It includes an island, breakfast bar and two stools. There is also a retractable 3-plug socket in the counter top.

Outside
The garden is partially enclosed by grass banks, but these are neither child nor dog proof. Given the proximity of the road and other houses, we recommend that young children and dogs are supervised. There is a large gas BBQ, and robust garden furniture (suitable in case it gets windy!). The coastal footpath is approx. 100 metres away. There is a ‘kissing gate’ linking the house to the path. The front lawn is suitable for play.
