“Lovely cottage, location is great for walkers, we walked to Bala in just over an hour and Llanuwchllyn about an hour in the other direction. Llanuwchllyn has a great pub The Eagles Inn with good food and doubles as the village shop.
Cottage is very well equipped with everything you could need.
Would highly recommend, the views are just breathtaking.”

“Completely blown away ! Cottage, breathtaking Views, total seclusion, just sheep & cows for company. Great for Walks nearby & around Lake area, went up the Aran Ridge path to summits of Aran Benllyn & Aran Fawddwy, fair long hike but well worth it.
Would not change a thing & will DEFINITELY be back.
Top notch Holiday.”

“This was our second visit to Tyddyn and it was as good, if not better, than our previous visit All you need is provided by way of excellent, comfortable facilities. The views are to die for and with the weather we were blessed with, we didn’t leave the property for three days! Jennifer’s communications are excellent and most helpful. Suffice to say, we hope to return next year.”

“We went 5th -12th September 2020.
What a fantastic getaway.. couldnt have asked for a better place. Lovely views and overlooking Bala Lake. When cloud was low felt like we were in them. Very private so ideal for couples or walkers that just want a peaceful and quiet place to relax from it all. This little bolthole was very comfy and clean and had everything you needed.. log fire was bonus and underfloor heating is luxury.. we suggest setting the heating in lounge to 19 for warmth all-time under feet and bathroom we set a bit more.. need to be left on as takes while to heat up otherwise each time..just adjust the thermostat. It was warm all time we were there
We walked down to lake but was a hike back up..ok if used to it. We enjoyed a train ride which the station is at bottom of the hill.. can walk to it.
Bala Town has almost everything you need would recommend Cyfnod Cafe and Bistro for their meals.. the steak is well worth the price.
We took a drive out to Barmouth and Llandudno. Would highly recommend everyone to visit Pistyll Rhaeadr 80 meter High waterfalls.. what a treat. You can also walk up to the top if ok with steep hike.
We will definitely stay here again.”

“Most hospitals would like to be as clean as this cottage. Absolutely nothing to fault. The views were truly awesome too. Very quiet with only sheep as neighbours. Can't recommend highly enough.”

“What a fantastic place to stay. The cottage is even better than described as the lounge and bedroom furniture have been updated since the photos have been taken. The weather was very unkind to us but it as the wind whistled and the rain came down we took take full advantage of being super cozy in this luxury space and were still be able to look out of the double doors at the spectacular views. There were lovely touches such as the two pints of milk and cakes that were there for us on arrival. The information pack at the house was great and had lots of details for walks etc. If you get a clear night go and stand outside and look up at the stars, truly incredible. The owner was quick at responding to our initial booking enquiry and efficient at getting directions and instructions to us, we wouldn't hesitate at recommending the cottage.”

“We enjoyed a fantastic stay at Tyddyn Llafar. The location of the cottage is wonderful, being isolated enough to feel away from it all but close enough to Bala to feel convenient in terms of shops/amenities etc. The views from the cottage are spectacular which you can enjoy from the comfort of the very comfortable living area with underfloor heating and woodburner. The property is superbly equipped with everything you could possibly need and the whole feel of the cottage is of very high quality. Thoroughly recommended to anyone wanting to enjoy a relaxing week away in this beautiful area of Wales.”
