Surrounded by fields, woodland, valleys, hills and streams in the heart of the Teifi Valley, with its own secluded garden and extensive rural walks from the front door, there is peace and tranquillity in abundance at Ty Hen Cottage.

Fronting an old farmyard, this charming traditional cottage is set on a smallholding in Cwmpengraig, near where the three West Wales counties of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion meet.

We are near to the market town of Newcastle Emlyn (10 minutes), a centre for antiques, farmers’ market, and independent shops. It is a 5 minute drive to the National Woollen Museum, 15 minutes to Cenarth Falls and 30 minutes to Cardigan Castle and to the beautiful unspoilt Cardigan Bay coast with its sandy beaches and pretty little villages in hidden coves.

The Preseli Hills of north Pembrokeshire with their ancient sites and monuments are about 40 minutes away by car. There is a wide variety of walks available in the Teifi Valley, Preseli Hills and Brechfa Forest as well as the Wales Coast Path.
