Jewellery Making

Sara works with a range of materials including precious and semi precious metals and stones and feels equally at home working with gold and diamonds as glass and copper. Sara’s inspirations come from many different sources including pods and seeds and other natural forms and textures found in nature.

After seeing jewellery made using the lost wax system, fire and alchemy, she was hooked! After spending three years at The School of Jewellery and Silversmithing, in the heart of the jewellery quarter in Birmingham, Sara worked for Andrew Grima in Jermyn Street, London.

Sara runs jewellery making classes where participants can explore how to work in metal, making rings, pendants and earrings amongst other items. It’s not necessary to have any previous experience as there’s the opportunity to start with the basics or build on the skills you already have. Just bring yourself and a sense of humour!

All classes include the share of equipment, reasonable use of non-precious metals, teas, coffee and biscuits, meeting with other people interested in jewellery making, learning new skills and having fun making new pieces of jewellery. Please look on website or call to find out about available classes.
