Dyfi Furnace
Found to the north of Aberystwyth, this charcoal-fired blast-furnace was constructed c.1755. It was used for smelting iron ore, brought in up the Afon Dyfi from Cumbria, with a mill-wheel that was powered by the nearby River Einion.
