Cardigan Golf Club is situated high above the shores of Cardigan Bay and the Teifi Estuary, about three miles from Cardigan town centre. The surrounding views of the sea and Preseli Hills are breathtaking – this really is a very special place where you will enjoy a memorable, interesting and testing round of golf.
The course was first established in 1895 and is a mixture of links and parkland, measuring some 6500 yards from the back tees. The often breezy conditions and undulating greens provide a challenge for all golfers. Excellent drainage and a relatively mild climate ensure the course is playable throughout the year off regular tees and greens. Some say that Cardigan is at its very best through the autumn and winter months.
A testament to the club’s stature is that it has hosted Golf Union of Wales Championships as well as International matches.
If you haven’t played here yet, a warm welcome awaits, and you won’t be disappointed with the well-appointed clubhouse. The restaurant offers an extensive menu to suit all tastes and panoramic sea views where you may watch spectacular summer sunsets.
Visitors are welcome to play any day of the week by arrangement and visiting parties can be booked up to a year in advance. A smart, casual dress code is considered the minimum standard.
