Broadside Boat Charter provides sea-angling, diving and wildlife pleasure trips running out of Dale at the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, where you will experience some of the best fishing and diving possible.
A range of angling trips are available to suit all levels of experience – tackle is included for each: The 2 hour trip is ideal for the novice and less experienced angler as it sails within sheltered reaches of the coastline where anglers may catch mackerel, pollack and the occasional cod or wrasse.
The 4 and 5 hour trips are suitable for both less experienced and more advanced anglers being slightly more adventurous, heading towards the islands of Skomer and Skokholm where larger fish may be found.
The full day trip of 8 hours is a more serious style of fishing and generally includes a period drifting over reefs for pollack, coley, cod and wrasse. Flatfish and ray may be caught when anchored over sandbanks. In suitable conditions there may be the chance to fish for bass.
The diving sites visited are at the heart of the coastal park and include Skomer where there is a prolific variety of marine life, being on the tip of the Gulf Stream and being one of only 3 marine nature reserves in the UK. This trip offers exciting dives for all levels of ability.
Outside the reserve there are many sites around Skokholm and Grassholm Islands including several offshore reefs, where there is a diverse marine ecology ranging from octopus to seal and trigger fish. Along with these prime sites are around 500 wreck sites to explore.
The local coastline and islands offer internationally significant wildlife habitats for species such as puffins, razorbills, guillemots, gannets, shearwaters, grey seals, dolphins and porpoises.
Whether you are fishing, diving or cruising, this spectacular coastline is a rich and diverse environment for all to experience and enjoy.
