The Stables is a listed Georgian building, converted some 25 years ago under the guidance of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, into a comfortable cottage. Stone built, it stands in a substantial garden facing Carningli (Angel Mountain) surrounded by fields and woods. Equipped to a high standard and with its own drive and parking, The Stables provides the ideal base for exploring the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside and coast.

There are lovely walks starting at the door. Newport beach 3 miles away is a wide stretch of sand where you can park on the beach, ideal for little ones, and picnic in the dunes. The nearby coast path is taxing but provides wonderful views of seascape and wildlife.

Perhaps you would prefer the peace of the comfortable sofas and wood burner and simply rest and relax. The annex provides a bolthole for teenagers or refuge for elderly parents.

If history is your thing there is a wealth of it at hand, from the most spectacular burial chamber in Wales to 1500-year-old churches and castles to a reconstructed Celtic village and the added attraction of good shops, good pubs, even a boutique brewery virtually on your doorstep.

ACCOMMODATION

The Stables sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms: 1 king size and 2 twins. For an extra £50 per night, you can choose to have use of an additional king size bedroom and wet room in the annex for 2. Some of the accommodation is on the ground floor so may suit guests with restricted mobility.
