The Old Mill is a beautiful 17th century stone former watermill set in lovely gardens on an organic smallholding with stream, woods and meadows next to the owner’s cottage. You can walk or cycle for miles in the lovely countryside without crossing a road yet the busy seaside town of Aberystwyth and the stunning Ceredigion coast are only 10 miles away.

There are several local pubs serving very good food but the beautiful location and well equipped kitchen will tempt you to stay at home, unwind and relax to the sound of the stream. An ideal location for nature lovers and those just wanting to get away from it all.

The Old Mill has been carefully restored keeping its unique character and original features. Lime-hemp plaster and breathable clay paints make this a very 'green' building.

This is an upside-down house sleeping 4 comfortably on the ground floor.

One kingsize bedroom and the other with a choice of 2 singles or one super kingsize double make this ideal for two couples sharing or for a family.

Also downstairs is a beautiful, spacious bathroom with underfloor heating and original Victorian roll-top bath with a separate huge walk-in shower and loo. Gallons of hot water are supplied by the solar panel. There is also an additional separate loo.

Upstairs is a lovely beamed, open-plan living space with a huge woodburner at one end, comfortable sofas and chairs, a good stereo and a DVD player with a large selection of films for your use.

At the other end, down a step, the hand-built kitchen with oak worktops provides everything for the discerning cook - gas hob, electric fan oven, microwave, dishwasher, extractor hood etc. The dining area seats 6 around a lovely antique French pine table.

There is a balcony with views of the garden, bridge and stream where it's great to sit in the morning with a coffee watching the birds.

You have your own table and chairs outside in a private little sun-spot but have the use of all the grounds for your enjoyment - and your own hammock!

There is space to park up to 2 cars to the front of the cottage.

Due to the stream and balcony please be aware that this property is not really suitable for toddlers; small children will need to be supervised.
