“We've just enjoyed the most fantastic week at The Barn. Beautiful, clean and well equipped accommodation, with a wonderful log burner for cosy evenings. Many days we didn't even get in the car as there was so much to explore on foot from the property. We especially loved meeting the birds of prey!”

“We had an amazing time at The Barn, so much so that we've booked again for April 2022.

The owner Ross was always on hand to chat; and we got to meet two of his amazing birds of prey, up close and personal; although due to COVID there was, understandably, no touching.

Our party of 8 had plenty of space in The Barn, from the large, yet cosy lounge, to the lovely kitchen table, around which we enjoyed may family meals, cooked in the well equipped kitchen.

The Barn is in a small village in South Wales, where you can visit the National Wool Museum, next door, or enjoy a couple of drinks at the friendly, local Red Lion pub, which is just a minute's walk down the drive.

If rain does stop play and you're unable to get out explore the 7 acres around The Barn, or beyond, it's thoughtfully equipped with books, games, puzzles and DVD's, as well as WiFi and a good selection of TV channels.”

“Excellent holiday let; very spacious and had everything that we needed. The location is great, both for the wider area, plus local walks and local attractions. Ross, the owner, was very friendly and helpful; we got to meet Molly, the Harris Hawk, which was great. Very highly recommended!”

“Lovely clean big barn which had everything we could ask for.It is set in a quiet area which we loved but only 20 mins approx drive to the beach of Aberporth and 35 mins drive to Newquay beach and the boat trips from there are worth trying. Ross the owner greeted us on arrival and showed us around and although their house is to the side of the barn you are not overlooked and have privacy. The welcome pack of bread, butter, milk, tea and coffee was a lovely touch, Would definitely stay at this property again .”

“A great cottage set in amazing surroundings with lovely, welcoming hosts. The children had such fun exploring, playing in the stream, and just enjoying the outdoors. It was so peaceful and all the adults agreed that you could feel the stress melting away.

A special thank you to our hosts for providing some basic provisions for our arrival - that first cuppa was very welcome. The boys have asked that I especially thank Ross for taking the time to introduce them to his beautiful hawks.

I really cannot recommend this place enough and look forward to being able to visit again.”

“We had an idyllic week at the barn. Ross was an excellent host.
The barn is huge, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The welcome pack was very appreciated.
We loved the garden, the kids enjoyed paddling in the stream. Myself and my husband sitting out looking at the red kites hovering above. The quietness was heaven with just the sound of the stream.
The barn is in a beautiful area with easy access to many beaches and countryside walks.
The river teifi is absolutely beautiful, there is a walk along it in the village of drefach.
We loved it so much we have booked again.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our week at The Barn which is in the most wonderful setting. Birds, cows and the water of the pond are the only noises to break the silence.
The house is enormous, comfortable , well equipped and spotlessly clean. The care that is taken to adhere to the current advice concerning Covid 19 is second to none and we felt completely at ease there.
We were extremely fortunate to have a week of warm weather and sunshine and so were able to make the most of the beautiful garden and the surrounding area.
It was a real pleasure to meet the owners Ross and Sandy and a highlight of our stay was being introduced to Molly the Harris Hawk even though we had to be socially distanced.
This much needed break was wonderful and we look forward to a return visit. Thank you.
Viv, John and Rachel.”

“We enjoyed a lovely two weeks at The Barn, it is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We very much appreciated the supplies left for us, (tea, coffee, bread, milk soap etc) and meeting Ross's birds of prey.
There is a very comprehensive coronavirus
cleaning schedule before each group arrives, giving confidence to staying there at this time. Thank you”

“We had a great week and The Barn had everything you needed. Ross was very nice and showed our grandson the hawks which he loved and he fed the fish most days. The Barn is in a beautiful setting, calm and peaceful. It's also only approximately half an hour to lots of beaches. I would recommend a stay at The Barn.”

“Our stay at the barn was excellent ,it was very well equipped so you can cook if you want to and having so many appliances was great,fridge/freezer/washing machine and dryer.
There is lots of space and pleanty of seating we have stayed in places before which sleep eight but have not had a lot of seating the rooms are lovely and big, there is a TV but its not a smart one which didnt matter to us but we did on occasion watch a DVD so if you have any take some with you.The Internet was fine and there was good phone reception.
The owner Ross was on hand for any problems or information he is a very warm welcoming guy and was so lovely with our six year old grandson he was kind enough to introduce us to his birds which are absolutely beautiful.
There is a local shop for bits and bobs a chip shop not awful but not fantastic and do try the wool museum and the local winery .there are lots of places to go and things to do but to be honest I could have just sat in the garden and enjoyed the scenery, watching the lovely fish in the pond and paddling with my grandson in the stream at the bottom of the garden really lovely time.”

“We have just returned from our week at The Barn where we received a very warm welcome from Ross who we found to be a delightful host.
Well there we were kept well entertained not only by the great collection of DVD's and games that are available but also by the wildlife that surrounds you, a pair of squabbling Jays, Kingfisher and the amusing antics of the squirrels plus the every present Magpie's, we were greeted one morning by a Heron happily sitting at the side of the fish-pond and an afternoon visit from Mr Fox who lazily strolled across the orchard, much to the delight of our son Nathan who had been on the lookout for him all week.
Another highlight of our week was meeting Molly the Harris Hawk, this was indeed a delightful experience.
The Barn is very well equipped with everything you will need for your stay and the only thing I found to be missing was that of a measuring jug and it was through this I discovered my guesswork to be way off.”

“We had a lovely stay after Christmas and over the New Year. The Barn is spacious, well equipped and very peaceful. The food supplies we found on arrival were very welcome. We spent many an evening in front of the woodburner doing jigsaws and reading. It was also a great base for travelling around - we did lots of walking and visiting nearby beaches. I would definitely recommend.”

“We’ve had a great time staying at the barn! Thank you Ross for sharing those wonderful birds with us. Out of all of them, Jim the owl was our favourite. Out of everything we did we enjoyed the Brecon Beacons best. We climbed the Black Mountain and the hills and mountains were beautiful. The stream at the bottom of the garden was lovely to paddle in. The garden is beautiful and has so much space surrounding it.”
