“We loved this cottage and its garden, woods ect, it was perfect. We were mindful to keep quiet around the red kites nest & they rewarded us with stunning displays of flight at least twice a day, my little boys were amazed. Oyr dog loved the safe spacioys garden too & I was happy to let her run around whilst enjoying a lovely glass of wine. A lovely welcome pack too, thank you for letting us stay.”

“We loved the cottage, it's location and especially access to the stock proof garden, meadow and woods which were far more expansive and beautiful than we expected. Freedom to play and explore was a real bonus for the children and our young dog. Thank you for the privilege of spending quality time at TanyBryn. We'd love to go back.”

“Lovely cottage in a gorgeous spot. Hot tub was fabulous so much so we are buying one. Would definitely come back but without the kids they couldn't cope without the WiFi. Loved seeing the red kites over the meadow.”

“A wonderful little hide away from the world. Beautiful grounds and a cosy little cottage. About 7 miles from Lampeter off a small country lane, down a track. A few houses are off the track, but the little cottage is a good couple of fields from your nearest neighbour!

Perfect retreat away from life's day to day. Just such a shame we are now back in the real world! Cannot recommend this cottage enough!”

“We had the most brilliant time! We also stayed at the cottage in April of this year and loved it so much we went back for longer!

It feels like a home from home, Julie the owner is amazing, and i just want to be back there! The grounds are wonderful and there are many amazing walks right from the front door! Our dog Dudley loves the cottage and grounds, even after a long journey to get there he was full of beans, bursting with excitement!!!

I cannot stress enough, if you need to step off the treadmill of life this is the perfect place to escape too, but be warned, you will never want to leave!!”

“The cottage is magical, situated at the end of a private lane it is pure peace and tranquillity, loads of space for the children to run around. Even though we were unlucky with the weather, no one wanted to return home at the end of our stay. If you like doing things as a family, are after a romantic getaway or are just looking for a peaceful break, then this place if for you.”

“Julie Richards was so kind and communicated every thing to us. She honestly could not have done more. We didn't have the best weather and i hadn't packed any wellies!Julie offered to lend me hers which she keeps at the cottage for personal use. That saved us hours of research as to where to drive to buy wellies ( and we sure needed them ! )how kind is that ! A wonderful lady a fabulous holiday.we would definitely return. The cottage has everything to keep kids happy inside and out. Great place. Thank you. Penders -Watts family. Stay 9th -16th Aug 2014.”

“Boris, our Labrador loved the garden and woods. The children enjoyed the swings and playing hide and seek. Lovely to see them being ‘free range’ again. We spent our first day at Aberaeron crab fishing (got 10 crabs in total). Walked some of the coastal path. Went to New Quay to see the dolphins and seals on a 1.5 hr boat trip. Went to Reptile World to hold a snake and see the reptiles too. Heard Owls and saw Kites. Very peaceful; batteries recharged. Many thanks ”

“We’ve had a wonderful time here. The cottage is gorgeous. Alfie has really enjoyed running around and sniffing all the different smells. We’ve heard the Owls and have seen the Buzzards a few times. Sat watching dragonflies a couple of days and saw a Tree Creeper last evening. We don’t want to leave but we will definitely be coming back. Love it, Julie, it’s so special here. Thanks ”

“We have had a fantastic week in this wonderful cottage – thank you! We have all very much enjoyed the garden and it has been great to come home to a cosy cottage with its stoves and excellent DVD collection after long walks in the hills! We would recommend walks along the coast path in Aberaeron, the Teifi Pools and along the Afon Doethie near Llyn Brianne. Thank you again! ”

“Loved all the enclosed land, it was great to see the dogs running around without the worry of any other dogs about. Great views from cottage windows of garden, saw a few birds of prey hovering over the field at the bottom of the garden. A really lovely break enjoyed by us and our dogs. Had lunch at the Talbot in Tregaron, lovely friendly pub and a good lunch. Would love to return again in Spring or early Summer. Thank you.”

“What a perfect piece of heaven, Tan-y-Bryn is the most beautiful location for a restful holiday, what a fantastic present. The dogs loved it, so much freedom, loved cooking bread and scones. Loved hearing the owls at night and the Red Kites, a spectacular sight. We hope to return very soon. Would love my honeymoon here, even better getting married here. Who knows. Thank you so much.”

“Enjoyed our stay here immensely - thank you! Cottage well equipped and grounds varied and interesting especially for our 2 lurchers. Loved the silence and stillness of the place and the 'out of the wayness' of it all. Had great weather so we spent most of our time out and about, Highlights for us were: New Quay beach (dog friendly on the right of the harbour). Walk from Llanerchaeron to Aberaeron and back through the woods. Honey ice cream at Aberareon. Hafod Estate Walks - fabulous gorge walks complete with waterfalls. Cliff walk from New Quay to Aberaeron - wondeful picnic spots and waterfalls. Fish and chips in Aberaeron. Ynyslas beach in the early evenings. We are going home via Strata Florida for our final walk. It was a great pleasure to stay at Tan-y-Bryn and we hope we might be back one day. Thank you again.”

“Thank you. Clean cottage and fantastic land. We made dens in the wood and caught bugs in the meadow. Samson the Standard Schnauzer loved the gardens and is a very happy dog. Days out we recommend: Llyn Brianne (top car park to explore the dam, then RSPB car park a little south to walk round Dinas Nature Reserve). New Quay - you can take dogs on the little beach to the left of the Tourist Information Centre. Also park in Aberystwyth and take the small steam railway to Devil's Bridge and see the waterfall. A beautiful train journey and worth the money!”

“Thank you so much Julie for a very welcoming (wine very well received on arrival) friendly cottage. Beautiful, so peaceful, fantastic place. Coming from London it is a haven in this 'progressive' world we have created. Long may it reign. Once again, many thanks for sharing a special place. ”

“Many thanks for letting us stay in your wonderful cottage - it was everything the website claimed, and much more. We had some trouble finding it, but neighbours as far away as the White House kindly put us back on the right path. We had wanted somewhere quiet and secluded and Tanybryn is just that.”

“We enjoyed a very pleasant week at Tanybryn. The owls were in their box and very talkative in the evenings, and there were two young foxes which came out and played on the lawn early in the mornings. It really is a delightful spot.”
