Access statement for Taf Cottage

• Taf Cottage is remotely situated although taxis are available
• There is a bus service from Llansteffan (2 miles from the cottage) into Carmarthen
• Carmarthen is the nearest main railway station
• A ferry boat service is due to commence summer 2018 linking Llansteffan to Ferryside
• Visitors could be collected from Carmarthen by arrangement
• There is good mobile phone service
• There is no internet access
• Grocery deliveries can be provided by arrangement

Arrival and car parking:
• The cottage is accessed down a flight of gravel staggered steps into the private shingle garden and then up a flight of stone steps into the entrance. Care should be taken in wet weather on the outside steps.
• Bedrooms are then accessed down a flight of wooden stairs. There are handrails on all steps.
• Because of the number of steps, this cottage may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues
• There is tarmac parking immediately outside the cottage at the top of the steps for two cars – further parking is available in an adjacent barn and private tarmac driveway

• Access to the cottage is into the top floor which is the kitchen diner to the right and the lounge to the left. Wooden floors throughout. Highchair available.
• Overhead lighting as well as side lighting
• Wooden steps to the ground floor where the bedrooms are situated
• The mobile cot could be put into the room with bunk beds or possibly the main bedroom
• TV/CD player has remote control
• Kitchen area, cordless kettle, under counter oven, white goods
• Main bedroom has en suite shower room
• Main bathroom has low-level bath with overhead shower attachment
• Hazard: log burner but there is a fire guard

• Small private enclosed garden - dog/child proof boundary
• Seating/eating area
• Hazards: BBQ – small raised pond and water feature
• Note that livestock can be kept in surrounding fields and care should be taken that dogs do not worry sheep or cattle
