“Spent a week staying at the cottage whilst visiting relatives in the area. The cottage is very well kept and clean, the kitchen is small but has everything you need. The wood burner was a welcome addition, especially when needing to dry damp coats and towels. Sally and her family were really friendly and helpful, full of information about the area. Make sure you try some of the homemade jams and chutneys for sale as they are absolutely delicious.”

“We have stayed at Nanternis farm several times now, we usually book the large cottage However we visited after the summer season (our second visit of the year) and we stayed in the smaller cottage. We loved it, the living area is cosy and has everything you need for a night in. There's still lots to do even when the weather is colder even raining and it's great because it's not as busy as the summer months. Close by there's pottery painting, farmers markets, new quay restaurants, lots of beautiful walks and sights to see. Followed by a log burning fire back at the cottage. The owners ensure you have enough logs at the ready. There are many excursions and national trust properties around this area and there are leaflets in the cottages for you to see. We would definitely stay again.”

“It was a great place for bird watching and has its own bird feeder right next to valley so you can bring bird food or a fat ball feeder to hang off. It is a great place for keen amateur and hobby photography plus dark sky for keen star watching too if there are no clouds.

Everything was provided the garden was great for the dog we were able to keep the door open and know he was safe. Very warm welcome provided and on arrival we had fresh milk eggs and home made cake which hit the spot.
Lots of places to go and walk in a beautiful setting also plenty of beaches we could take the dog to and let him run free he had a great time”

“We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Nanternis Farm, in Stable Cottage. Our hosts, Sally and the team were very welcoming, giving us lots of information on places to visit. Stable Cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. The log burning stove made for some cosy evenings so there are no worries about visiting in the cooler months. The beds are very comfortable and the shower in brilliant. I would recommend the coast walk from Nanternis to New Quay - so nice not to have to take the car. The coast is stunning, Nanternis is in a beautiful location and I cannot fault our hosts.”

Judy and David Reed, March 2019

“We had such a lovely stay at stable cottage.
The cottage is well kept and clean.
We really enjoyed our stay and so did our 4 dogs. It’s hard to find somewhere that accepts 4 dogs and we are so glad we found this place. The dogs and ourselves were relaxed the minute we arrived!
We had some lovely cake waiting in the fridge for us as well as a bottle of milk and essentials to make a nice tea/coffee. Which was needed after the drive.
The cottage is set in a gorgeous quiet area, with lots of lovely walks/beaches around!
We will definitely be returning... I need more of that jam!

“We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Nanternis farm in the stable cottage. Upon arrival we were welcomed to a warm, clean and tidy cottage with a cosy fire going in the logburner. There were homemade cakes, milk for a nice cuppa or other hot drinks also provided. The owner gave us free range eggs for breakfast, absolutely delicious! We and our three little pugs loved the holiday and enjoyed the fantastic beaches close by. We would love to come back again, five star hosts and holiday experience.”

“We arrived to find a clean and very well-presented cottage, with the added surprise of milk in the fridge and two home made cakes waiting for a well-earned cuppa. The cottage has a conservatory that is fantastic for chilling out and a fabulous walk in power shower to wash away the salt water after a day on the water Dinghy sailing in nearby New Quay bay. The cottage is ideally situated for dog walking, literally down the lane and in two minutes your walking through woodland on the way to a hidden beach. I would recommend this cottage or the larger cottage on the same farm, to anyone who believes they deserve something special for their welsh holiday.”

“We were warmly greeted on arrival by Sally, who explained all we needed to know about the cottage, and made us feel welcome and comfortable immediately. Sally even helped to describe the local walks from the cottage; one down to the Secret Cove! The cottage was clean, tidy, well-appointed and very pleasantly decorated. We made much use of the BBQ and the al fresco dining furniture during the many days of fine weather. The setting was peaceful, and also interesting when the cows paid a visit to the nearby fence. A great cottage, in an area with a wonderful coast. We really enjoyed our stay (especially our two small dogs) Thank you.”

“A lovely getaway. The cottage is located well for walking to the beach through the woods and easy access to places for days out. It was 2 of us plus dog staying in Stable Cottage and there was plenty of room. The cottage is compact but with great facilities. It was great as towels were provided so we could clean up the mucky paws of our dog before he came inside. Our dog was very happy sleeping next to the cosy woodburner after long walks by the sea! There were also some cakes in the fridge for us when we arrived which was lovely after a long journey! The information folder was fantastic with recommendations and an ordinance survey map so we could work out some great local walks. The cottage is in a farmyard so not secluded but this is a pro as there are always people around if you have any questions although we were very much left to ourselves which was exactly what we wanted. The central heating was great but we were also given a big stash of logs at the beginning of the week which kept our fire going for five evenings but we could have bought more if needed. All in all, lovely people, cosy cottage in a wonderful area. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.”

Feedback - Jan 2017

“The owners and their family were lovely, helpful and very kind. They gave us suggestions of where to walk the dogs. I loved the enclosed garden for the dogs as we could just let them out and know they were safe. The owners supplied us with dog towels even though we took our own. Very helpful as they did get mucky. The little cottage had everything we needed for the two of us and our three dogs.”

“Very enjoyable stay we stayed in October and the owners are very generous with the heating, coming on at 6pm and staying on till gone 11pm, morning heat was the same. The log burner was an added bonus, although not needed as the heating was very effective. The location is in a peaceful setting, no noise no pollution. I have 4 dogs and this wasn't a problem as they had their own garden as part of the cottage to run about in and do their business. I would definitely recommend this holiday x”

“We stayed for a week holiday in early July, our hosts were the friendliest and most accommodating people we have met, such a warm happy family, nothing was too much trouble. Stable Cottage was perfect, comfortable and clean in a beautiful rural setting and with everything you need for a cottage break. Within easy walk to the sea along Coastal Paths or long rural walks or short car rides to Abraeron, Aberystwyth, Cardigan bay etc. Lovely pub within a little walk of the farm, which is very dog friendly (we took our two dogs) and we had a lovely tea and very reasonably priced. At the end of our holiday we really didn't want to return home and are definitely returning if only to see Ann, Sally and Len (the ownwers) again.”

We brought our border collie with us and the small secure garden was a bonus.
We will certainly recommend it”

“We’d like to thank you for your hospitality and to say we had a lovely break in Stable Cottage. We hope to repeat at some point in the not too distant future.”

Nick, Mariana, Daniel and Ragz, February 2016

“If you want a quiet getaway this cottage is everything you need. It is in a wonderful quiet village, but close still to the coast road, and even has a secluded beach only a short, wooded walk away.

The owners were very helpful, both before and during our stay, and made us feel very welcome.

The cottage itself is both compact and functional, but so relaxing and comfortable too.

The conservatory and kitchen / living areas are comfortable but robust, so you can relax from the off - whether you have come in from a long muddy walk or are watching TV in your pyjamas! We stayed in February and the wood burner was fantastic to cuddle up in front of.

The main bedroom is quiet and wonderfully dark with no light pollution to encroach. The bathroom is light, with a large shower cubicle and torrents of boiling hot water... The spare room would be fine for younger children.

We stayed in this cottage for a weekend, but left wishing we had booked for a week... We will be returning!”

“I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you all for such a fantastic and relaxing weekend at Stable Cottage. We did all the walks that we were unable to do during the summer when we had the children. We walked down the path from Nanternis and then over to Llangrannog on Saturday and to Newquay on Sunday. It was amazing! To then come back to your cosy cottage which had everything we could possibly need was so lovely. Honestly, we can't thank you enough for such a perfect weekend. We will definitely be back in the near future and will spread the word to all our family and friends about your idyllic cottages.”

“Ann's welcome was very friendly showed us the cottage, offered her advice any time we needed it. The cottage had a box of leaflets with ideas of places to go and books just incase. We loved the log burner we had some cosy evening in. We found everything we needed in the kitchen but if you didnt want to cook or drive there pub is less than a mile away but food was very limited for vegetarians.
Ideal location for walkers not far from the costal path and there was a bay all fenced off which was great for the dogs.
The cottage was also very dog friendly and we are planning to go back hopfully next year. We gad a great time, thanks”

“Loved our stay at stable cottage. The owners are very friendly. The wildlife is in abundance. The costal walks are fantastic with beautiful beaches and blue sea. The owners offered us a lift home if ever we felt we had walked to far. One of our walks took us to New Quay on a rather hot day, we had planned to return by bus however it only runs twice a day, whilst deciding what to do and which chippy to go to we bumped into the property owners who offered us a lift back to the cottage and also recommended a very good chippy. It is a must to stay up after dark and go outside to admire the stars. You can even see the Milky Way. Stunning.”

“We had a lovely holiday with my 3 dogs, the cottage was perfect and warm and comfortable. The log fire at night was a nice bonus, as was the conservatory on a rainy day for just reading and relaxing, and the safely fenced in garden area for the dogs.
The owners could not have been more welcoming, home made cakes awaited us on our arrival with a tea tray, and with helpful advice about local attractions
Only a short drive from numerous lovely beaches, beautiful scenery, and local dog friendly pubs for meals made it a perfect holiday, I have no hesitation in recommending it.”

“Had a lovely time at Nanternis Farm Stable Cottage. Made very welcome by the owners. Cottage very homely and central to surrounding area. Also there was plenty of lovely walks we hope to come back in the future. ”

John and family, May 2013

“We had a lovely time staying at Nanternis and did some more walking, the dogs settled really well and always enjoy the beautiful walk to the beach and to see the waterfalls. We did a walk from the cottage to Llangranog via Cwm Tydu along the coastal path, probably 11 to 12 miles, which has beautiful scenery, we saw seals and dolphins from the cliff path and also the choughs! There were only a few places where we had to put the dogs on their leads, where there were sheep and ponies. There are nice places in Llangrannog for lunch looking out over the bay. We also did another circular walk of about 8 to 9 miles the following day from Mwnt to Aberporth and back, which was not so hilly but equally beautiful, going through fields and lanes as well as the cliff path. The walk was from the ceridigion coastal path website and also the book walks on the cardigan bay coast by Liz Allan. Kittiwake. Our third stay in the beautiful farmhouse cottage, we enjoyed the log burner and its so nice having a secure garden just to let the dogs out. We look forward to seeing you again soon thank you for a lovely holiday ”

Sue, April 2013

“We had a great time staying in the cosy Stable cottage. The owners, Sally and Len, were very friendly but not intrusive. The local scenery is beautiful and great for walking and running. Access to the stunning coastal path is only a short distance away”

Mike Kennedy, 6 April 2013

“I have just stayed in Stable Cottage, Nanternis Farm. The cottage was delightfully cosy, with a spacious and comfortable conservatory, a log burning fire as well as central heating. The high ceilings in the lounge/diner area and main bedroom added character and along with the photos of the reconstruction of the cottage, gave a fascinating insight into the construction of the cottage. A small, secure garden area is available to sit out and for our dogs to exercise. Best of all, the shower, double size with a power shower and plenty of hot water, lovely. A warm welcome from Sally, along with cakes and tea, awaited us after our journey which was appreciated. A lovely place to relax as well as being central to visit local attractions in and around west Wales. Will definitely be returning ”

Lorraine and Mick, March 2013

Many thanks ”

“We haven't stopped telling people what a wonderful time we had. We found the cottage so cosy and, even at the end of January, toasty warm. Everything was clean and light and it was the perfect place to relax and spend an anniversary. The delicious cake, fresh eggs and the nice chat made it even more memorable and homely. We'll certainly be back to recharge the batteries and to explore the beautiful countryside more. Thank you all for making us so welcome. We're looking forward to seeing you again. ”
