“Taking a short break in West Wales we recently stayed at Skokholm cabin in Rosebush. The cabin was quirky, clean, well equipped, a good base well placed for visiting the local area. The owners (who unfortunately we didn't get to meet due to the pandemic restrictions) give you some good information on the locality in a folder (we visited Newport, Fishguard and Ynys Dinas point) enjoying lovely views and scenery whilst on the coastal path. In Rosebush itself (if you go there) you must visit the Tafarn Sins pub, and get some cheese from the local cheesemakers (just up the road from the pub). All in all a very enjoyable stay, we would have liked to have used the BBQ more than the once that we did, the weather was just that little bit on the cool side but hey-ho a great relaxing break, and with the dog. Recommended.”

“A brilliant hideaway in the heart of the Preseli Hills. A perfect location for accessing the Preselis and beaches of Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.

The space is really private, comfortable and relaxing, with great views. The outdoor decking is a suntrap on summer afternoons.

The meadow is glorious and the bats in the trees each evening are a highlight.”

“Had a lovely stay at Skokholm log cabin! It's really nice and tucked away from the road in a beautiful location, and was really peaceful.

Thanks to Rob and Katie for having us!”

“A quiet break from the madness of Covid and WFH. I knew the place had no wifi and I was up for that. I was expecting Vodafone to not consider Wales a country needing mobile coverage.. but took that as an extra gift. Times in the sweet cabin where therefore very quiet with distant hum of the B road (closer than I thought) and the barking dogs on the neighbouring farm. The cabin is well positioned to explore the delights of the Coast Path (Newport we love you) and the foodie town of Narbeth!.”

“We had a lovely stay at Skokholm cottage. The cottage is compact but extremely well-equipped with decent things you can fancy using. The point that doesn't come across from the marketing is that this cottage is really separate from everything else by 50 metres or more and you really get your own wonderful wilderness and peace. Skokholm even has a separate gate for vehicle access. The deck is lovely and spacious and if you are unlucky enough to experience cold weather, as we did for the first couple of days, the heating systems keep it really cosy and pleasant. We used some of the DVD's provided for borrowing and they were really good.
All in all, this cottage is perfect for a couple who want some peace on holiday, we will be back!”

“Good fun in a most attractive location and proved warm and snug in the unseasonable weather. Bedroom and bathroom tight - rather like a yacht. Well equipped with shops close by. Would be very happy to book again.”

“We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was perfectly clean, beautiful views of the reservoir. The veranda is like a sun trap and we spotted lots of birds! The bed was so comfortable and we loved the little window beside the bed. The communication was second to none, very informative from the point of booking, informing us of the policies with regards to COVID. The facilities were brilliant (shower a little slow, but does the job.) We highly recommend booking this if you’re after a quiet, romantic break.”

“Loved the location and the cabin was perfect for the two of us. The lack of wifi and phone signal provided a total break from our electronic lives.”

“Beautiful, simple cabins in an idyllic part of Pembrokeshire with clear views of the lake. Lots of amazing walks and beautiful villages nearby and the cutest, family run farm shop just up the hill selling amazing local produce to enjoy back in the cabin. The owners are super friendly too.”

“We had a lovely stay in Skokholm log cabin, it was clean, warm and had everything we needed. Great bird life outside the the windows and wonderful stars on a clear night. Farm shop (Carla's) just 1 mile along the road to Fishguard where you can buy Dexter beef and other meat from the farm, and a handy pub in Rosebush, the Tafarn Sinc. Thank you Rob and Katie, we hope to stay again in the future.”
