The Shearers Loft offers a peaceful rural holiday only a mile and a half from the tiny cathedral city of St Davids in Pembrokeshire. Situated on the first floor and attached to Pencnwc Farmhouse, the loft is approached by stone granary steps, from the top of which you can enjoy panoramic views. The Shearers Loft is surrounded by fields, with the sea a short distance away. Whatever the weather the views from here will provide lasting memories.

It is possible to walk to St Davids and enjoy one of its many restaurants or perhaps browse the shops and galleries. A gentle stroll across fields brings you to the secluded beach of Porthllisky where you can swim or join the coastal path for more energetic walking.

To the west, high cliffs offer spectacular views out towards Ramsey Island. To the east you will come to Porthclais harbour, stopping perhaps for a cup of tea or an ice cream before heading back along the lane to the Shearers Loft.

On sunny evenings enjoy a BBQ in the garden or have a stroll along the adjoining National Trust footpath towards the coast to watch the setting sun. From seaside activities to history, wildlife to music, there will be something for every day of your holiday in St Davids.

The Shearers Loft sleeps 2 in a bedroom area with comfortable double bed, bedside cabinets and lights. The separate shower room has a shower enclosure, wash basin, toilet and heated towel rail.

The lounge area with comfortable sofa, coffee table and digital TV and DVD player, looks out towards the sea and Skomer Island in the distance. There is a small garden area below, where you can enjoy a glass of wine, dine outside or light up the BBQ.

The kitchen and dining area is well equipped with table for two, electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. The kitchen window overlooks the open fields and our garden where you can watch the birds feeding.

At the bottom of the granary steps, just across the drive, is a lawned area surrounded by willow trees and next to the old pond, now dry in the summer months but where you will often see dragonflies, frogs and toads. A table and chairs is provided and a BBQ is available. There is parking for two cars.

You are welcome to take a walk around our fields and garden, sometimes we have home grown vegetables and fruit available for you to enjoy too.
