Rose Cottage in Newport, Pembrokeshire is a beautifully refurbished, traditional Welsh cottage with exposed wooden beams. It is just a short stroll from the Parrog Estuary, teeming with wildlife, and the stunning coastline with its abundance of wildflowers and secret sheltered coves. Pretty walks from the village lead the visitor to Parrog and Newport beach and inland to the heights of Carn Ingli (Mount of Angels) with splendid vistas to Snowdonia, the Wicklow Mountains and St David’s Peninsula on a clear day.

Newport boasts both a Norman castle and a church, standing proudly above the medieval village on the slopes of Carn Ingli mountain. Only a few minutes walk from the cottage there is a good selection of local shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes and a Post Office, library (part-time opening hours) and local information centre. Local activities include surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, bird watching, kayaking, sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golf, wind-surfing and mountain biking.
