Rooks Retreat is a contemporary family friendly home in Hodgeston, Pembrokeshire, 3 miles from the historic town of Pembroke and 7 miles from the popular holiday destination of Tenby. A narrow lane winds from Hodgeston to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath, with its spectacular views of Freshwater East Bay, Caldey and Lundy Islands in the distance. There are two beaches within 1 mile of the cottage: Freshwater East with its golden sand and superb walks, and Manorbier, a well known surfing mecca. There is also an outdoor pursuit centre at Freshwater for the more adventurous. Alternatively, you can catch the coastal cruiser bus to the idyllic Barafundle Bay or to the Bosherston Lily Ponds - a great place to fish.
The award winning theme parks of Oakwood, Folly Farm & Heatherton are all within a few miles and a visit to the Monastery on Caldey Island is a must. There are various places to eat within a short distance of Rooks Retreat, ranging from a traditional 13th Century pub at Jameston to a bistro at Lamphey. Many welcome children and offer value for money meals and takeaways.
Rooks Retreat sleeps up to 5 in 3 bedrooms: 1 king size, 1 triple (double plus single) and 1 double. The cottage is detached and centrally heated, full of character and friendly to both toddlers and elderly guests.
