Pumphouse Annex is a rural paradise, set in a 2 acre smallholding in a South Wales wooded valley. The river Gwendraeth Fach fronts the property with Dippers and Kingfishers being regular visitors.

Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the grounds, sitting in one of the many seating areas, watching the butterflies and bees on the wildlife meadow and extensive flower beds. The array of wildlife is amazing – Red Kites, Buzzards, many woodland birds, Tawny and Barn Owls at night, plus of course our bats. You might even be lucky and see the Otters.

The local town Kidwelly, with its castle, church and industrial museum, plus many pubs and food outlets are nearby. The beaches at Ferryside and Pembrey are around 5 miles away. Walk or cycle the Millennium Trail, or go to a horse race at Ffos Las.

If you want to explore further, the Gower Peninsula and Pembrokeshire are just a short drive away, as is Brechfa Forest and the Brecon Beacons. Kidwelly is ideally situated as a central point – there is always something to do whatever the weather.
