Y Ddol Cottage

Pre-arrival 

• Our cottage is situated within the village of Aberporth. The village is easily accessible by car and is served well by regular bus services as well as local taxi services.
• The closest train stations are Carmarthen – 26 miles, Aberystwyth -34 miles and Fishguard – 25 miles • The closest Ferry Port is Fishguard – 25 miles
• The closest town is Cardigan – 7 miles 

Arrival

• We provide 1 parking space on our side yard for the use of the cottage. Free parking is also available along the road outside the property.
• The main village buses stop outside the cottage, and the bus stop across the road contains a detailed bus timetable
• Our side yard is on a very slight slope, and the area is lit by an automatic light on a sensor 
• Access to the property is through the small front gate at the front of the cottage

Other information

• Y Ddol Cottage is a no smoking property
• We do not accommodate dogs
• Mobile phone reception is available but can vary depending on your provider
• WiFi internet access is provided free of charge and the password is provided on a sign in the kitchen
• Cot, highchair and stairgates are available on request
• We provide one King size bed and one zip and link bed making two twin beds or a super king size bed 

Interior

• There is one 16cm step leading from the outside into the property. The front door is 85cm wide.
• There is a light in the front porch canopy controlled by a switch by the front door. The hallway floor is solid slate.
• To the left is the kitchen door which is 72cm wide and to the right is the lounge door, also 72cm wide. The stairs lead off from this hallway. There are 13 steps to the stairs and it has one bend leading around to the left.
• The kitchen floor is tiled in a light colour. The units are also a light colour with a dark coloured work surface. The height of the work surface is 91.5cm. There are under-unit lights fitted. 
• There is a main light over the table area and spotlights fitted over the main kitchen area.
• The oven is electric and knob controlled. The hob is ceramic and also knob controlled. The kettle is cordless.
• There is a washer/dryer located in the hall cupboard
• A small freezer is also found in the cupboard 
• The lounge floor is carpeted
• There is a wood burning stove. Fireside tools, a heatproof glove and a fireguard are provided.
• There is a centre light and a wall light
• There is a Freeview TV/DVD player
• At the top of the stairs there is a bedroom to the right and a bedroom to the left. The bathroom is located straight ahead of you.
• The doors upstairs are all 64cm wide. The bedrooms are carpeted in a light coloured carpet. Each room has two ceiling lights controlled by the door. The lights in the bedroom on the left can also be controlled from the bed. There are LED lights above the wall beams and a wall light above the mirror.
• Both bedrooms have TVs that are wall mounted
• In the king size bedroom, the space between the bed and the wall at the widest point on the left is 54cm and on the right is 180cm. This room has room for a cot.
• In the twin bedroom, the widest point between the left bed and the window wall is 75cm. As the super king bed, the space is 103cm.
• The bathroom floor is tiled in a light colour and has underfloor heating. There is a white bathroom suite.
• The corner toilet has a maximum access width of 140cm across the front
• The bath is freestanding with a showerhead tap. There are no grab rails.
• The quadrant shower cubicle has two sliding doors and measures 900cm x 900cm
• There is an overhead rain shower head along with a standard head
• There is a heated towel rail on the right wall at 95cm up from the floor
• The bath and basin have lever taps
• The widest point from the door to the bath is 117cm
• There is a safety lock on the bathroom door

Additional points

• The cottage has gas central heating
• Smoke detectors are located on the landing and in the hall
• A heat alarm is located in the kitchen and in the lounge
• A carbon monoxide alarm is located in the lounge
• There is a fire blanket in the kitchen and a fire extinguisher in the hallway

Externally

• There is a small enclosed area to the front of the cottage
• The surface is slabbed and level
• A wooden bench and a wooden table are provided
• The front gate has a latch on it
