Once the piggery and granary on the Llainfran farmstead, Tydu View Cottage is now converted into a spacious single-storey cottage, near New Quay, Ceredigion offering all the modern amenities in a stunning setting overlooking farmland and the Ceredigion Heritage Coast. If you like hidden coves and secluded beaches, Cwmtydu and other hidden gems along the Ceredigion coast are just a short stroll down the lane.

Tydu View Cottage is both airy and bright, and it’s so quiet and peaceful that you’ll typically hear no more than birdsong or occasional sheep baas. The pristine interior offers guests a generous-sized living room that is truly comfortable and welcoming. The wood burner is an excellent addition to cooler evenings and winter days. The lovely light conservatory is just the place to take a book and a coffee and admire the far-reaching views across Cardigan Bay to Bardsey Island and the Llyn Peninsula. Tydu View Cottage forms one of a small peaceful cluster of farm buildings and holiday homes within walking distance of the West Wales coast and well away from any public roads.

The nearby Victorian farmhouse is a seasonal boutique bed and breakfast, making this the perfect location for mixed generation stays. This is the ideal home from home for two to four people seeking a tranquil break on the fabulous West Wales Heritage Coast, where you can walk, beachcomb, discover wildlife and historical sites, or just stay at home and read a book, relaxing in the garden sun, or snuggled up by the fire on cooler evenings.

All year round, this homely cottage is a great choice. Animal lovers will be thrilled to find various friendly animals roaming in the surrounding fields of Llainfran Fach, including friendly sheep, goats, alpacas, Shetland ponies and a couple of lively donkeys. Feel free to get up close and say hello if you wish.

Tydd View Cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 bedrooms: 1 king-size bedroom, 1 double bedroom. All the accommodation is on the ground floor so may suit guests with restricted mobility.

• Llainfran Fach farmland uses no fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides on the land.
• We provide organic, home-grown vegetables and preserves for sale in the season to our guests.
• We have created several wildlife ponds, wild-flower meadows, winter bird scrapes and a bird hide for wildlife conservation objectives.
• We encourage invertebrate life with bug hotels and pond-side log piles for amphibians.
• We provide guests with bird feeders and food to encourage bird life as much as possible.
• We have planted an orchard to provide habitat for wildlife, hold water, reduce soil erosion and encourage pollinators.
• We have installed a rainwater collection system on-site to recycle water for irrigation and land management and to control the rate of surface water runoff into adjoining watercourses to minimise the consequence of flooding.
• To optimise carbon storage on site and to enhance the local microclimate, we have an active annual programme of native tree and hedge planting and replacement across our land, with two new trees planted for every one felled.
• We use and supply all-natural Bio soaps and washing liquids in the cottages, which are synthetic chemical-free
• To retain the integrity and operation of the septic tanks, eco-friendly products are provided.
• Segregated bins and recycling facilities and composting of organic food waste on-site.
• All cottages have low-energy LED lighting and are fed by our solar panels.
• All cottages are double-glazed and have full insulation in roof spaces and thermostatically controlled radiators.
• Our welcome packs comprise eggs from our hens, our apple juice, homemade bara-brith, homegrown flowers from the garden and locally roasted Teifi coffee.
• All firewood for wood burners is generated from annual tree management across our land and seasoned for at least three years before use.
