Ty Glas is a beautiful blue lime-washed cottage set in a unique environment. The 40 acres of meadows are managed in such a way that wild flowers grow in profusion. The fields are awash with wild orchids in the spring and early summer. Birds and insects thrive.
Many national papers and magazines have picked it out as a special place. There are open log fires upstairs and downstairs with wood floors and antique furniture. A huge king-size bed adorned with crisp linen sheets and plump pillows crowns it all, and there is the roll-top bath with a view of Carningli out of the windows.
Ty Glas is within close reach of Newport Beach and Poppit Sands. There are wonderful walks to be had along the coastal path, a highlight being Ceibwr Bay, with a lovely walk to the Witches Cauldron. It is also within easy reach of standing stones and the ancient woods of Ty Canol.
The local little town of Newport has many good cafés, a pizza place, good restaurants and fine pubs. The historic town of Cardigan is 7 miles away, which has many cafés and lovely bakeries. Bara Menyn bakery is worth a visit.
