Spacious cottage set at the foot of the Cambrian Mountains in Pontrhydfendigaid. Walk to the Teifi Pools directly from the cottage. Experience true Welsh culture first hand. (3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom)

Special Offers

Troedyrhiw sits peacefully at the foot of the Cambrian Mountains: just open the door and walk out into unspoilt upland scenery that is home to an abundance of wildlife. The cottage lies near the trail that leads from Strata Florida, the ancient Cistercian Abbey founded in 1164, to Teifi Pools, the source of the River Teifi.

Troedyrhiw is within easy reach of Pontrhydfendigaid village shop, post office, pub with a restaurant, and live traditional Welsh music. The seaside resort of Aberystwyth is 17 miles and the Nature Reserve of Cors Caron only 5 miles drive away. This cultural area thrives with festivals such as the Aberystwyth Jazz Festival (September), the Aberystwyth Poetry Festival and the Cardigan Bay Regatta (August).

The area is a paradise for ramblers with endless walks in the mountains as well as on the Cardigan Bay coast, about 40 minutes away. Troedyrhiw is a perfect hideaway for those seeking to escape everyday life and enjoy the tranquillity here, gazing at panoramic countryside views and listening to birdsong.

Fishing is available on the River Teifi and Teifi Pools. Close to the Cambrian Mountains Astro Trail, with Coed Y Bont, Pontrhydfendigaid being the closest Dark Sky Discovery Site. The occasional farming activities take place on our adjoining hill farm Frongoch a quarter of a mile away.
