Swallow Cottage is a warm and welcoming stone barn conversion in Bosherston, near Stackpole, within the heart of the South Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. After a day exploring the coast, snuggle up beside the exposed stone fireplace in the winter or open the stunning French doors onto the sunny patio, where you can enjoy a barbecue in the private, enclosed garden in the summer and amble around the private meadow to the rear of the garden.
There is also a large communal lawn (shared with six cottages) to the front where children can play freely. Swallow Cottage faces west so that you can enjoy sunsets over the surrounding countryside. This rural retreat is a one-mile walk from the National Trust’s famous Bosherston Lily Ponds in the Stackpole Estate, leading to the stunning, white powdery sands of Broadhaven South Beach. The Wales Coastal Path passes the rear boundary of the cottage, making it an excellent spot for avid walkers to discover charming coastal views and fantastic neighbouring beaches.
Barafundle Bay, a little further along the Coastal Path, has been voted one of the world’s best beaches. Swallow Cottage is close to two excellent pubs for food and The Boathouse at Stackpole Quay and Bosherston Tea Rooms. The historic town of Pembroke, with its dominating castle, is about 4 miles away and is a wonderful place to wander independent shops or to take a lovely stroll around the river with sights of the castle along the way.
The seaside town of Tenby is a further ten miles away and is home to four incredible sandy beaches, impressive cobbled streets, and delicious food. Whether you are looking for a cosy escape for two in an area of outstanding natural beauty or a family beach break for four, Swallow Cottage has everything you need for a lovely holiday.
